The Lying Must Stop

Today, Bishop Rodgers teaches on a new topic about lying from Ephesians 4:25. When believers decide to follow Christ, it is both a one-time decision as well as a daily conscious commitment. Apostle Paul tells us to put away falsehood and speak the truth to ourselves and to our neighbors. A lie is a statement that is contrary to fact, spoken with the intent to deceive. When we speak truth, the Holy Spirit goes to work. When we lie, satan goes to work. Lying is a form of self-deception. Lies can be a spoken word, life under false pretenses and the lie of silence.
