The Lyrics From Billys Forest Chapter 223

from Arroe Collins Forest Stories · host Arroe Collins

October 27, 2020As much as we continue to hear how ugly and evil 2020 is and continues to be is every reason to keep looking toward the trees. Just because the human has put a label on these 52 weeks doesn’t mean the rest of the world has to walk its daily path with its head hung. Nature is having a fantastic year! The beauty experienced in forests, open fields and high atop mountains continues to share the lessons of learning how to survive a weighty struggle. A fourth hurricane during one season has been predicted to smash into New Orleans then skate across the sky to pour all of its energy into our soil. Yet there’s calm in my forest. The animal activity is minimal. An early fall breeze speaks out in ways that notify us of change. When it’s calm like this I’m able to hear a bee’s buzz several feet away. It’s so soft. Almost like God’s whisper. Natures calm is proving to be the best medicine. All things present creates awareness. Being aware of who we are and what we bring to each sunrise. This forest floor has stood next to me for 28 years. It’s carried me through some pretty rough storms. Belonging. Unconditionally. There’s love here. And there’s love in your steps. Physically remove the comparisons of what you think you should be doing and walk into nature. No judgement. No expectation. Being a great listener is a valuable tool. Build with the elements that are very active around us. Learn to look beyond the four walls of self and replenish the beauty taken from us during this pandemic. You have the talent. You have the skills. You are and were designed to reach people. Give yourself permission to utilize the energy of what you already know but it’s being used on a different platform. When I first got into radio forty one years ago I never dreamed that one day I’d be face to face with real people in a grocery store line. I’m working the cash register like a studio control board while building enormous relations with listeners I couldn’t see. Until now. You’re being requested. Lift your eyes and see the path. Bring yourself forward by way of choice.
