The Lyrics From Billys Forest Chapter 228

from Arroe Collins Forest Stories · host Arroe Collins

December 17, 2020One of the most amazing things about 2020 is the number of brilliant sunsets we’ve fallen witness to. You can’t help but be present with an energy that doesn’t see you but it moves through you. To always catch a sunset doesn’t get old but as a human always on the run you can’t help but feel like a taker rather than a collaborator. No matter how hard we try to push ourselves onto nature’s canvas, the elegance of the dance never includes our humanisms. The choice should be mindfulness. It’s a relationship with the energy source. We are to serve it. It’s not supposed to be for our entertainment. It’s human nature to spend tremendous amounts of time trying to be part of something. To want to be more of a giver than taker. Sharing things with others. But in 2020 it feels like everything we want to share is never enough. The shape of people’s eyes and hearts aren’t hidden behind masks. We who stand next to you feel your universe. And the experience isn’t always in harmony with the sky on fire. It’s as if we’re spending what little energy we have left on trying to get upstream. The goal should be to get back into the flow. I’m a kayaker. I’ve battled many rushing rivers. Getting upstream isn’t anything more than a challenge. But how many are you willing to face during these dimmed days of a pandemic out of control? Flow. Where is the flow? Make it a priority to reach into a valuable resource of energy invited by all living things. Including a sunset that most of us until March of 2020 might have caught. Usually off guard. We are facing many different types of storms. A day of challenge means more change. Unanswered questions versus answers we probably don’t agree with. All this while the sky catches on fire and your heart finds amazing peace. So many people speaking of uncertainty. Too many people warning about the darkest of days. We are certain that we’ll receive even more bad news. It’s how we’ve chosen to digest the process. There’s no progress in being certain about uncertainty. You know what certainty is! You've’ invested a lot of certainty in being uncertain. Use your certainty to take in more than a sunset. Be there when the sun rises. Use your certainty knowing the grocery store will be open. Don’t think about having no toilet paper and paper towels. Be certain that who you are in this present place of Now is a choice maker. Winning is a choice. Certainty is a choice. Find your certainty. And when you feel uncertain call it out. Use your physical voice “No! I am certain! And in this certainty you have no place to grow!” Uncertainty isn’t 2020 new. The J man. When they took him in. He was uncertain of what they were going to do. But he was more certain that he was serving his father. Therefore he knew what to do. There are answers in certainty. Make the choice to believe in yourself.
