The Lyrics From Billys Forest Chapter 252

from Arroe Collins Forest Stories · host Arroe Collins

July 1, 2021This forest in south Charlotte, NC. Two days of hardcore rain. It looks like a wet dog that wants to quickly run into my home and roll all over the floor. The creek has risen, the soil extremely loose. How can something so tall such as a tree keep its firm grip on the only area it was given at birth? The human could never do something like this. More than a year into this Covid mess and people are running around like chickens with their heads cut off. By the millions we are convinced life has returned to normal. As a silent wolf. A watcher of human growth and habit. A daily writer that’s very observant of the surroundings. The trees in the forest during two days of rain remind me of the human being. What I’ve not spoken of are the missing leaves. The trees are present. The leaves are not. The human is right here. But something is missing. The valuable gifts or blessings that help bring food to the roots of life. We are leafless. Look around you. Mind and body. Looks normal right? The soul hasn’t shown up yet. The enormous hit we took in March of 2020 and in all things we are doing in this new normal the missing part of the story is the deeper truth. The art of readjusting. The physical presence of gaining personal access to opportunity not to allow others to feed us. States had to create new rules to get people back to work. Once back, the open wound is a lack of ambition or connection to whom is the receiver of the product. This moment in history has earned the name The Great Resignation! Spiritually speaking the leaves on our trees aren’t budding. We aren’t allowing human nature to take our dreams and giving them permission to blossom. Why? Because for 17 months everything was handed to us. When the leaves on a tree sit bare the next step is to cut them down. The new normal isn’t a hand me down or hand out. It’s knowing how you survived a pandemic where the entire planet was forced to shut off. Use that change and challenge as the energy to put leaves back on your limbs. It’s time to start collecting rain to feed your rooting system. Stop letting others support you. Grow forward. Grow outward. Own your now. There’s never been a better time to be seen as well as heard.
