The Magician's Tea-Party is a short fairy tale about little King Wistful, an eight-year-old ruler who finds his island kingdom dull and joyless, no matter how beautiful others tell him it is. When a bright, singing girl named Eyebright leads him through an enchanted wood to a magician's cave — where tables walk on four legs and cupboards stock plum-cake instead of seed-cake — he learns that wymps once cast a spell on him as a baby.
