Following the arrest of Bill Bradfield in April of 1983, his fate began to look grim.In the ensuing trial, prosecutors would manage to successfully link Bradfield to Susan Reinert's death, as well as at least one other "unnamed co-conspirator" (who many at the time believed to be Bradfield's longtime associate, Jay Smith).
