Some of his early directorial work was for the original launches of the smash hit TV series “American Idol", “Desperate Housewives", "NYPD Blue", "The Drew Carey Show", and many more.Jay is a graduate of the Brooks Institute, he founded Jay Silverman Productions in 1979 in Hollywood California, and built a 40,000-square-foot facility including 3 sound stages. The mission of his company is to use the power of storytelling to inspire and entertain with a message that is uplifting for society.He started his feature film career with the film ‘Girl on the Edge’, a very personal film about his daughter’s journey to recovery using equine therapy.
