The Making of “Paramount Presents: Bringing Out The Dead” with Justin Beahm

from The Brandon Peters Show

I can’t believe it’s been 2 years since Justin Beahm was on the show. But I’d pegged this as an episode I wanted to do once he pulled it off. Off the air, he’d told me about his bucket list goal of getting Martin Scorsese’s under-appreciated 1999 film Bringing Out The Dead starring Nicolas Cage out onto Blu-ray. Then 2 years ago he told me he had the greenlight, but some scheduling took it awhile. However, on September 17th, 2024, Bringing Out The Dead was brought to 4K Ultra-HD Blu-ray in a limited collector’s edition from Paramount Presents featuring new interviews Justin conducted with Martin Scorsese, Nicolas Cage, Paul Schrader and Robert Richardson. In this episode, Justin tells his fantastic story of putting this all together for an incredible physical media release of a film begging for rediscovery/reappraisal. -Brandon The Brandon Peters Show will return with “Poorly Described Movies: The Game with Chris Johnson LIVE at Days of the Dead Indianapolis 2024” TECHNICAL INFORMATIONVocalsBrandon – Shure SM58-LCJustin – Unknown Microphone (Recorded with Zoom) Post ProductionNCH Wavepad Masters Edition v8.38NCH MixPad Masters v5.22The Levelator 2 RUNTIME: 71 minutes
