The Mamba Mentality

26/03/2021 This week the book finally arrived- It was next day delivery- I knew Kobe had a relentless work ethic, creative on and off the field and so I wanted to see if could learn something from him. I happen to play football a lot so I wanted to copy some of the ways Kobe goes on about his game, plus I wanted to know how he plays. The biggest lesson I have Learnt from him Is, focusing on the process he says "the mindset isn`t about seeking a result- it`s more about the process of getting to that result" and he shows the journey in the book. The other thing I have learned from him is the attention to detail which is something advantageous when you are learning about something, for him attention to detail is everything- when studying film (plays of his opposition or himself), or the preparation before the game (he activates his ankles before the game to prevent problems in the knees hips and back) or the emotions he is going through.
