In which a child, trembling yet compelled, approaches a ghastly spectacle upon a wind-swept hill—a tarred and chain-bound corpse suspended from a gibbet, whose grim visage and spectral presence evoke a haunting tableau of death preserved in merciless defiance of decay. As a gathering storm whips the fluttering ravens into a frenzy of avian assault, the child's numbness wanes to terror, and he flees from this grotesque theatre of nature, death, and darkness colliding in a wild and mournful dance.
