The Man Who Lived With a Corpse.. Taxi Driver Murder - LEE KI YOUNG

On Christmas Day 2022, police in South Korea made a horrifying discovery inside an apartment in Goyang. Hidden behind cardboard boxes in a bedroom wardrobe was the decomposing body of 60-year-old taxi driver Choi, who had been reported missing just hours earlier. The suspect, Lee Ki-young, initially claimed it was an accident following a drunk-driving collision. But as investigators dug deeper, they uncovered a far darker truth involving fraud, identity theft, and another missing victim whose body has never been found. In this episode of You Can't Unhear, we reconstruct the timeline of the Lee Ki-young case, examine his long history of deception, explore how he continued spending his victims' money while pretending they were still alive, and discuss why many investigators feared there could have been even more victims. It's a chilling reminder that some of the most dangerous predators don't hide behind violence alone... they hide behind charm and lies.
