THE MAN WHO SHOT LIBERTY VALANCE (1962)

Franz, Paul, and Katie (and toughest meow south of the picketwire Meatball) are the spectacle of law and order rising up out of the gravy and the mashed potatoes.  Together, they take on the John Ford classic (celebrating its 60th anniversary!) as well as the Western genre — its legacy and themes, its many allures and complications.  So pull up a steak (and some deep dish apple pie) and let's turn this desert into a garden!
