The Master

A man with a troubled past and a horrible addiction stumbles upon a man who is almost revered as a God to some and a Cult leader to others. Paul Thomas Anderson once again showcases what a masterful(no pun intended) storyteller he is as Lancaster Dodd, a Philosopher, takes in Freddie Quill, a war veteran with PTSD, attempting to teach him about his religion which ultimately leads to more of an obsession rather than anything else. An intriguing film that will have you wondering, "are they making it up as they go along?"
