ABOUT Dr. Peter Liljedahl is a Professor of Mathematics Education in the Faculty of Education and an associate member in the Department of Mathematics at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada. Peter serves on many editorial boards and is a senior editor of the International Journal of Science and Mathematics education. He has authored or co-authored 12 books, over 38 book chapters, 38 journal articles, and over 50 conference papers. Peter has won numerous awards and is a former high school mathematics teacher; his research is never far away from practical application in the classroom. He consults regularly with schools, and ministries of education on issues of teaching and learning, assessment, and numeracy.
