The Matthew Project, Part 5 - Christ's Elevation of Women as a Major Theme of this Gospel

The Gospel of Matthew is the first Book in the New Testament. It builds on the Old Testament which finishes in the Christian bible with Malachi's prophecy about the hope of the physical coming of the Lord into His Temple. Malachi also prophesied that one would precede the coming of the LORD who also come in the spirit of Elijah. Jesus tells His disciples that this was John the Baptist. In this episode we explore how Jesus elevated the status of women, and used very strong language to rebuke men for how they had been treating those women whom God had charged them to care for.
