THE MAXX by Sam Keith
from Robots From Tomorrow! Hosted by Greg Matiasevich, Mike Romeo
The lads finally dive into a longform discussion of Sam Kieth's The Maxx by looking at the less-heralded latter issues of the title. Do they continue the success of the MTV-cartoon-adapted front dozen? Do they still hold up all these years later? Are they overlooked gems, or just something that should remain overlooked? Longtime listeners will know Mike & Greg's answer to those questions, but today's episode lets them dive further into a book at once beautiful, gut-wrenching, heartbreaking, messy, of its time, ahead of its time, singular, and something we will never see the likes of which again.
