If elected, Levine Cava will become our first female county mayor, and will give us a breath of fresh air in the form of a strong progressive with the solutions that actually match our considerable problems. We talked about mental health, climate change, the corrosive effect of cynicism in politics, and what a Miami of the future might look like. The Miami-Dade mayoral primary is Tuesday, Aug. 18.
