I'm thinking of a hot summer day because the release of the record was in July. It was recorded in June. So many of the Motown songs seemed to pertain to people's lives and the things that were happening around them. I believe that is one of the reasons why Motown got so big, and it's sound is still getting record plays and spins today. The songs we hear now are nothing compared to the songs of Motown. When you hear all of the songs of Motown's vocal groups. they were strictly to the point in their meanings. You didn't have to figure them out or even read the lyrics.
