And while it can be tempting to change lanes when the one next to you looks like it's moving faster... research suggests that might not actually get you there any quicker. Associate Professor of Applied Mathematics at the University of Warwick, Randa Herzallah, has been looking at the maths behind traffic ... and how small changes in the way we drive could help keep things flowing.
