The Mediterranean Diet

from Today’s Gut Health Tip · host Melissa Hall Klepacki, M.Ac.

The concept of the Mediterranean Diet has been around since the 1940's when a doctor named Ancel Keys noted the low disease rate of the Mediterranean people during his tour with the US Army.  Post-War, Keys began a study called the Seven Countries Study.  He found that people who adhered to the Traditional diet of fish, red wine, grains, vegetables and olive oil and exercised regularly lived longer than those who ate less healthy diets and did not exercise.  Sounds like a no-brainer right? Listen in and see if this diet has concepts that might work for you.
