The meeting of art and audiences with Sean Kelly of the Everyman Theatre

A secondary school teacher and a professor in UCC turned the attention of this hurling fanatic from Ballyhea in North Cork towards a career in the arts. I chat with Executive Director of the Everyman Theatre, Sean Kelly about his life and career that included roles in Cork Opera House, Cork Film Festival and his current role, which he took in 2014. He calls this his "dream job" and we chat about the relationship with audiences, balancing commercial and artistic needs, producing their own shows and trying to keep the heart of the theatre beating during the Covid storm.
