Very sad entries, grief and death and cruelty. Joseph Smith lll relates the injustices and the death of his Father and Uncle, also the stripping them of the personal effects of Joseph Smith Junior by Brigham Young claiming it belonged to the church. Help from a lawyer new to the area secured Emma Smith and her children some possessions but biographies, journals and books also furniture were taken under order of Brigham Young and a policeman set outside to prevent visits to the house of Emma Smith and threats made for her to leave and go to Salt Lake City but she refused to join with the corruption of poligamy.
