The Merkel Incident
from The Parsonage Files Hosted by Richard Birk
This Week: “The Merkel Incident”Pastor Rick shares an old Irish story about a church and a sky-sailing ship that drops an anchor where no anchor should be. And here’s the twist: this strange little story keeps popping up across the centuries.Along the way we ask:Do churches need to worry about flying ships? Is the tale true, tall, or teaching us something? What might it say about how heaven and earth meet? It’s part history, part mystery, and all invitation—to wonder, to laugh, and to listen for what the story might still be saying.
