The Merry Drum

The Merry Drum is a short Christmas story about Andy, a boy whose drumbeats on a festive morning draw children one by one out of their homes and into a spontaneous street parade. Dick brings his pinwheel, a girl brings her doll, a boy offers wagon rides, and even a baby and a dog join in. As the parade grows longer and louder, the drum seems to call out "Come!
