The Message of Christianity

Simple promises can seem suspicious or too cheap to matter. After an earthquake opens the prison, the Philippian jailer asks Paul and Silas how he can be saved. Their answer leaves no room for earning or boasting: trust the Lord Jesus, whose death bears the cost of God's gift to sinners.
