Isaiah 34 declares God’s wrath against the nations and Edom as symbols of all who oppose Him, but Isaiah 35 follows with a beautiful vision of God’s future kingdom—where the blind see, the lame leap, and water flows in the desert. We also begin Micah, a prophet who exposes corrupt leaders, false prophets, and injustice among God’s people. Yet even before judgment falls, God promises to gather a faithful remnant—and to send a ruler from Bethlehem whose origins are ancient.
