But Jesus, just like the Holy Spirit is dynamic. He would always tell us, ‘the Holy Spirit is dynamic.’ Jesus does not cage himself in traditions, although traditions are very good for us. Don’t get me wrong, when I was a Protestant, I used to tell people na lahat ng mga tradisyon, hindi ‘yan dapat sinusunod. Mali po ‘yan. Because the Church is built on traditions. But what is being presented in the Gospel here is, we have to be humble enough to allow ourselves to be challenged in the way we live our faith.”
