Lori Lizarraga is an Ecuadorian-Mexican-American journalist from Texas and a Murrow and Emmy-award winning international reporter. With 5 years in the industry, Lizarraga has worked in newsrooms in Texas, California ,Colorado, and Pennsylvania, specializing in race, culture, and social justice reporting. The 27-year-old gained national attention last year with her piece, "LatinXed," chronicling her experience as a journalist of color in news. That reporting forced new standards of immigration coverage at more than 60 TV stations across the country and has been recognized by the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, The ACLU, the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and national news outlets like NPR and Futuro Media for her 'outstanding work to further the civil rights and liberties of Coloradans and Latinos across the country.'
