Ron DeSantis is expected to formally announce his 2024 presidential bid next week. The abortion debate is hurting Republicans electorally. This issue is a serious thing for Republicans to think about. There are a whole bunch of Republican women who think being too pro-life is a bridge too far. Roe v. Wade being overturned meant that there was no national right to abortion. The point of it is to allow all states to decide the laws on this issue.
