Yo, what's up people? I'm your host Jay Wheel and I would like to welcome you to inspire guys people where we balance faith and business To guide you to your purpose. This is episode 246 the mindset menu Choosing how to think about life. I have to look cuz I just wrote that down choosing how to think about life I just added that part to the title today We're gonna talk about the importance of how you think and how much how you think impacts your life And I know that we tend to think that our circumstances is what impacts our life the most But today I'm gonna make a case that is not necessarily your circumstances alone They dictate the outcome of your life But it's how you think about those circumstances and more importantly We're gonna talk about how you actually get to choose like a menu when you walk in a restaurant and you decide what do I want to eat today?
And let's be real sometimes you just choose the wrong thing, right? I know I do you ever go in a restaurant You like bro, like I don't know why I came and ordered the fish at this burger restaurant And then you get it and you looking at the burger showing up at other people tell you when the burger looks so good Smash burger look good and you got the the fish for later cod or something like that And you like bro, they don't do burgers that I mean they don't do fish that well But you're the one that chose it and sometimes we make decisions in life That create a ripple effect and affect so many parts of our lives. I'm one of the things that I'm always deep in Thinking deeply about I can talk people. I promise I could talk one of the things I'm always thinking about is like how can I improve?
You know my thinking about my life my thinking about life circumstances the ups the downs the in-betweens that affect us all Some self-inflicted some that you have no control over But at the end of the day the one thing you do have control over is how you think about your life So hopefully y'all been doing well. Hopefully y'all been good, man.
Um, all right. The mind said me you here's the first thing I want you Uh to think about If it was easy, it wouldn't be an accomplishment. Now I have said and thought about this for a long time It's almost nothing in life worth having that's easy like legitimately like almost nothing comes easy. You want to get in shape you want to Six pack Good luck that fat at the bottom of your stomach wants to fight you and those biscuits and those twinkies and snickers and all those Chips and cookies and cake they want to fight you too.
So it's not easy, right? You want to grow your finances in this economy with all the uncertainty going on in the markets with an uncertainty in the job market the Financial market stock markets all of those things the emergence of AI there's so many things that are in your way You want a closer relationship with god? Are you serious when the devil is trying his best to catch you? Slipping to get you off your mark where you have the own struggle of sin and lust in your own heart that you have to try to deny every day You think getting close to god is just some walking apart What you want a new job?
You think it's easy to go to a job interview when you're competing with other people that's hungry for that job as well in this tough jar market What's my point? My point is that the first thing I want you to understand is that nothing that I'm talking about today is intended to make You think that it's easy and it ain't supposed to be and I think that the first part of our mindset that we need to change is the way We think about difficulty like the settings on life are hard like it ain't easy The game is not set to easy in this game of life But that doesn't mean that it has to be bad It just means that anything you want to accomplish comes with a challenge and the idea of people who want handouts and the people who think that you know The government can promise you stuff I don't care who's in office like the government can't promise you this you tokyou life that we all seem to be looking for This easy life where you don't have to work for anything and maybe you know You don't have to pay any taxes and you just want all the free benefits or you know Maybe you've got all the money and you want to you know get over on the people with less or money It don't matter how you slice the pie my point is at the end of the day None of these people gonna save you but what guy has given you is the ability to think for yourself The mindset mean you let's talk about it. All right So as I think about the mindset mean you I really think about going into this restaurant Like I said and you have these options of things that you want to choose And so today I'm gonna give you all a couple examples of some different mindsets that we have to choose between and we're gonna look at some scripture I ain't trying to preach to you. I'm just trying to show you something So first things first where we want to go um we're gonna talk about the difference between these two mindsets Minds say a on the menu is giving your all right like do you want to give your all Minds said be is laziness now in most instances in life We are choosing between these two things whether we realize it or know it or not right like when you approach something You are approached with the thought of am I really gonna try am I gonna get us everything I got Or do I want to be a little lazy maybe cut a few corners and do just a bare minimum But still want the most right so first thing I want to do when we think about the mindset mean you and whether or not You should choose the easy way And be lazy or you should choose the challenging way and give something you're all even though you don't necessarily know what the outcome is going to be And I don't know nothing better to do but go to the words.
Also, let's jump into Proverbs we gonna look at a couple proverbs real quick All right, so check this out fam proverbs team is the first one I want to look at proverbs team All right, peep this uh we gonna look at 10 what four and five So these are our Solomon's proverbs look at these Idol hands makes one poor or make one poor but diligent hands bring riches Okay, let's just we gonna let it marinate. You know, I'm not gonna speed through all these scriptures. Idol hands hands is doing nothing You chilling you relaxing easy way out That make you poor fam according to the bible. This is wisdom talking but diligent hands bring riches We're gonna we're gonna come back to this word diligent because it's gonna come up a few times and I want to I want it to really sit and think like Well, what does diligent actually mean because if I don't hands make you poor and diligent hands make you rich?
Okay, cool What does verse five say? The son who gathers during summer is prudent prudent. All right, the son who sleeps during harvest Is disgraceful. Dang.
I don't want to be disgraceful fam Like I mean prudent with showing care and thought for the future Like I love that idea of the son who gathers during summer is showing care and thought for the future See how like when you make these decisions about your life Um, you got to actually self do I care and am I thinking about the future or am I just making decisions? That's just the easy way out and the best thing that I could do right now in this moment today But the bible says that a son who gathers during the summer He cares and thinks about the future but the one who sleeps during harvest is disgraceful Well, what when his harvest harvest starts in the mid summer? I believe so when you think about the connection of the scripture is is really laying out to you is like hey In the summer is time to harvest right and there are some sons that want to sleep when it's time to harvest and there are some others that want to actually gather The harvest well, think about it. The summer fam you want me to go out into the fields and gather in the summer It's hot.
It's musty outside. I ain't got no SPF. I'm sweating. I'm tired I'm draining you want me to go out there.
I'd rather go to sleep fam That's how we thinking through this like I would rather go to sleep and so I think about the word of God and how it guides us to really work hard And it really drives us to say hey if you want more out of life, you got to give more the word of God doesn't tell you to seek handouts It doesn't tell you like to expect someone else to do it for you. It's like no, it's some work They need to be done over there. Yeah, if your ends if your hands are idle, you ain't gonna get nothing fam But if you go put in some work, it's something to be gathered out of it So let's go back to the bible real quick, right? I could talk so that was proverbs team And I would I want to look at proverbs 12 peak this Proverbs 12 24 25.
This is one of my favorite scriptures I got a song called death to laziness and that's where this this like the ride from that. All right So 24 25. Sorry if you got dizzy while I was scrolling up this page All right, here goes word again the diligent hand rule but laziness will lead to forced labor Wait a minute diligent again like this word diligent keeps coming up the diligent hand rules So what does diligent mean? I just wrote down a couple of definitions You know you can google it yourself hard working careful persistent attentive If you're hard working if you're careful if you're persistent and if you're detailed and attentive you will rule But laziness will lead to forced labor.
All right, we got one more to look at proverbs 13 What I'm looking at four and seven verse four The slacker craves yet has nothing but the diligent is fully satisfied diligent hard working careful persistent attentive fully satisfied So when we talk about this mindset me you the bible in proverbs continues to tell us that if you want success If you want to have riches or wealth If you want to be able to provide that the way to go about doing that is to be hard working Is to be attentive is to be thoughtful and it is to care And Look the fact of the matter is some of us don't care for him And I know it's tough but we got to look in the mirror like you got to ask yourself do I really care Like you ever met somebody that's always talking about what they're gonna do and they never do it I really challenge myself on that like bro don't be a talker don't always talk about what you gonna do Don't don't always be the person that's coming around and it's always the next thing Jay gonna do and then the next time I see you as no accountability is no update you then you ain't keeping score You've done nothing. I'm telling me. I'm not telling you nothing Don't be that person that does nothing when you keep selling people what you don't do I can't stay in that fan that is to me that is like that's like one of the worst Ways to be all right, but but what are we just a recap on that first part? Only got a couple of these the mind said me you I can choose to be hardworking to care to be persistent right and to be have attention to detail Now I want you to think about some of those things hard working.
That's pretty simple. That's just talking about effort Like that's just effort. That's the easiest part of all it is You could literally change your life around just by giving effort in a particular area of your life This is an apply to anything spiritual natural, you know You could talk about health wealth finances whatever it is Relationships like it takes effort if you ever come across somebody Especially in relationships whether it's friendships or spouses whatever once a person don't care no more fan What's that effort ain't there? Careful Careful in attention to detail when you think about diligence It just means you're not out here just doing any and everything I'm gonna use finances for this right when I think about finances and I think about being careful in attentive to detail It's just like yo, I'm not out here reckless with my spending I shouldn't just be buying any and everything without keeping track and some of us want to live a reckless life We don't want a budget.
We don't want to plan We just want to close our eyes swipe the car and hope it don't decline That's not a real plan for success in every any area of your life Is to just close your eyes swipe a car and hope for the best No, we got to be diligent persistent. I want to talk about that Persistent is one of my favorite words in the world because it speaks to our ability to keep doing the right thing Even when you're not getting the desired results persistence because it's easy to quit right? It's easy like trust me I've been there. I feel like I'm always there where it's like I'm trying something I'm going at it.
I'm thinking that I'm giving it my all and it's like bro ain't nothing happening like I'm really straight. I could really be good on this but at the end of the day if you're persistent and you keep going and pushing through and Eventually you see these results and it's a blessing because you realize that if I would acquit I never would have saw this if I would have given up I never would have made it to success and so some of us might find ourselves that I'm only right now in life where something You're trying or doing and you know you're doing the right thing, but it's just difficult It's just not producing the results that you want This is your sign to keep going. This is your sign to not give up and to remain persistent All right, now let's move to this next mind. I said me you You have a choice to make between being a victim and an overcomer now I'm gonna spend some time on this one.
This is a story in the bible that I've often like Unpacked because there's just layers and layers to the story and never gets owed to me It's the story of joseph the dreamer and found in genesis And I'm just forever blessed by this story Forever like processing the things that happened in the story and trying my best to climb to my life Try my best to see where I need to grow where I could be more like joseph And there's a lot of things to look at in consideration for this. So I want to check out Genesis where we gonna start at Genesis where 37 all right, so look we talking about this victim mindset or overcome mindset We all have an option in life to choose when things happen like Sometimes we just choose to be victims and there's one group of people that always want to remind you of what happened and I always find Issue with these type of people who they only live in the problem and let me not make it about nothing deep I can make it about work when I leave my team at work We solve problems. I tell my team all the time like we solve problems So sometimes people panic or they get overwhelmed and they call me and they're like, hey, man Like, you know what I'm gonna do about this and whatever and the first thing I'm looking to do is calm you down Because I understand something happened. I understand it wasn't playing it's an issue But we're not victims we're overcomers with problem solvers So when the problem occurs we catch our breath and we develop a plan And so I prefer to work with people who are solutions oriented and when they see a problem They start to strategize a solution versus people who see a problem and begin to panic and one thing about panicers and victims They're very interesting where the idea that misery loves company people who are miserable do not want to be miserable alone They don't want to have a victim mindset and fail by themselves They want to do everything they can to convince you that you also should be a victim Now for me always like to look at the bible to try to understand how I should think about the world I'm living in right we live in a world where we all see it.
I think it is Completely beneficial by worldly standards to have a victim mindset I believe that I could probably go viral right now If I just had the victim mindset about something and you know pull out my phone and cry about some situation and blame everybody for my situation Like that that's what people resonate with these days But for me, I find that the bible points us to something different something that really will challenge us if I'm being real Something that will make you think twice about the way you've been navigating your life at least that's what it makes me think It made me think like yo Am I doing this the right way? Am I thinking the right way about what God wants? So let's look at genesis We're gonna look at um We're gonna look at the story of Joseph And it's interesting because Joseph was literally a victim right, but he wasn't a victim in his mind And this is what I want you to think about as we look through some of the aspects of the story This is someone who literally has a justified reason to be a victim And was a victim but did not accept that in their mind now. I often talk about this So if you listen to this show you heard this before um I read the autobiography of Frederick Douglass and there was something interesting in Frederick Douglass's story And there was this you know Once at one point in time when his slave owners had this other um guy that he worked with and I call him the jigger breaker Right because I don't want to say the n-word on this podcast, but Sometimes I be wanting to say it just for that effect so y'all could hear it how it actually is written and said So obviously he's a slave the n-word breaker.
There was this guy called the jigger breaker You know what his whole job was that whenever this slave owner will have slaves that would not be broken in their spirit He would send them to the jigger breaker and that guy would keep them I don't remember how long it was if it was a couple weeks or a month but they would keep that person and the jigger breaker's entire job Was to break your mind your your circumstances are already bad, but you're a slave You already getting beat battered bruise working labor with no wages like your circumstances are already bad But if they would ever just sniff out that there was a slave that had hope in their mind a slave that had the audacity to still have the mindset of an Overcomer they would send him to the jigger breaker to try to break their mind in their spirit And so at one point they sent Frederick Douglass to the jigger breaker and Frederick Douglass talks about how he all most Gave up like the jigger breaker almost worked almost broke his spirit You got to read it for yourself i'm paraphrasing but at the end of the day even though they sent them to the jigger breaker He found his way back and did not lose the hope in his mind Did not lose the spirit of overcoming and eventually escaped slavery eventually became an advisor to presidents Imagine how crazy it is to think that someone who circumstance Justifies them accepting them evicted mentally But this person still found a way to overcome when he was quite frankly sent to a literal person Whose only job was to break his spirit And here I am complaining about first will problems today Someone doesn't like me online. I got bad youtube comments Oh my god, they're racist and i'm about to give up and i'm just a victim Did you did you see what they said? You know, I'm gonna be real with y'all I've been spending a lot of time off of social media probably since november For the most part right like other than doing these shows uploading maybe a post every couple weeks here or there I kind of just been jumping off. Um, not that i'm holier than dal or i'm floating or whatever Again, it's about trying to grow trying to make sure my mind set is in a place Um, so that the lorica speak to me and guide me But the one thing that I that I hate is when people send me videos and clips of something that happened Because they think oh, this is going to be the thing that gets you to see like see we victims And it just doesn't resonate with me the victim mentality doesn't resonate with me at all Again, not dismissing or disregarding that we all have circumstances.
They may justify us literally being victims But for me, it's just did you see what they said? I can't stand when people do that because it just shows me that you just you just like the jiggle breaker You send me links you couldn't wait to share that link to text it to me or send a DM to me So that I can see this horrible situation that you know, certainly in your mind This is going to break his spirit. Certainly there is no inspire guys people. There is no, you know, united in christ There is no, you know, I don't care what color you are.
I don't care what political part of you are We are brothers and sisters in christ like certainly if he sees this video, it'll break his spirit Nah fam. I got the heart of a Frederick Douglass the mindset of a book or t Washington that unity Is what makes us overcomers Not division. All right, so let's jump into the bible because y'all didn't watch the show for that whole little section But hopefully you enjoyed it. All right, we're gonna jump into genesis chapter 37 and i'm gonna bounce around chapter 37 for a minute You may not choose what happens, but you do choose how you think about it.
All right, so let's look at I don't want to sign it All right, so let's look at the story of joseph first i'm gonna go up here just so you can kind of see um What's happening? We inverse like to to when I yeah at 17 years of age jose have tended to sheep with his brothers The young man was working with the sons of bill high and zilpa his father's wives and he brought a bad report about them to their father Okay, uh, let's skip down now this let's see now is real love joseph more than his other sons because joseph was a son born in him at oh h And he made a long sleeve road for him when his brother saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers They hated him and could not bring themselves to speak peacefully to him peaceably. I can talk So the context is that joseph was 17. He was a young brother.
Um, but it did say his daddy liked him more than the other ones It's in the word. I'm not here to I'm not here to sort through that one in this particular time But um, ultimately his brothers couldn't stand as good. That's what we wanted to call out here Then joseph had a dream Um, and when he told his brothers his dream they hated him even more so we just build in some context We're gonna skate around. I advise you to go and read it for yourself for full details But we're gonna skate around a little bit for context now in his dream what ends up happening is he essentially has a dream Where his family bows down to him.
Let's see if I can at least get to that part. Um So verse seven there we were buying in the sheaves of grain in the field Suddenly my sheaves stood up and your sheaves gathered around it and bowed down to my sheaf So imagine his young brother that they already hate is telling him a dream about how y'all bow down to me And look this is their response. Are you really gonna reign over us his brothers asked them? Are you really gonna rule us?
So they hated him even more because of his dream and what he said All right joseph, we got some situations. Hold on. Let's pause real quick So they hated you because your daddy the daddy loved you They hated you more because you had a dream then they hated you even more than that after you told them all deeply about the dream Your brothers don't like your family. I'm just gonna tell you right now your brothers don't like you Um, but don't let that stop you.
Let's find out what did joseph do in this situation All right, so let's scroll down again and read this on your own time. Um, let's see his brother saw them in the slavery Let's see to the let's go down here where we want to start All right verse 16. I'm looking for my brothers joseph said can you tell me where they are pasturing their flocks They moved on from here to man. Said I heard them say let's go to dultham So joseph said out after his brothers and found them and dultham or dotham 18 they saw him in the distance and before he had reached them they plotted to kill him joseph brothers plotted to kill him They said to one another.
Oh, look here comes that dream expert So now come on let's kill him and throw him in one of the pits We can say that a vicious animal ate them then we'll see what becomes of his dreams They didn't want to just kill joseph. They wanted to kill his dream This is sometimes how the enemy wants to get rid of us for the dream that guy gave us now You got to understand this is the dream that guy gave him and what I want to make sure we discuss We're gonna look at the purpose of this dream I'm not here telling you all the dreams you chasing are from god Don't take it to mean that literally because boy oh boy. Some of our dreams don't line up at all so don't let me be the podcast of this out here telling you and you thinking like oh that inspired guys people said chase my dream I want to be the next american legend that ain't what i'm talking about that ain't what they talking about All right, so let's grow down Um, rubin hurt this he tried to save him from them. He said let's not take his life So thank god for rubin right thank god for rubin.
I can't stand you either But at least I want to take your life. He said don't share blood all right. He got a better idea throw him into the pit in the wilderness Okay, rubin. Thank you rubin for not wanting to take my life But But also thank you for wanting to throw me in the pit All right, but don't lay a hand on him.
All right cool Let's see when joseph came to his brothers they stripped off his robe the long sleeve row that he had on Then they took him and threw him in the pit the pit was empty without water. They sat down and eat a meal Wow, okay guys You know what i'm hungry just threw my brother in the pit And uh could use a sandwich if you want me to be real with you and would like some of this uh Give me some goat milk to go with it All right, and when they looked up there was a caravan of ishma lights coming from gilead Their camels were carrying a robit gum boss. I'm erasing uh going down to egypt 26 Judah said to his brothers what do we gain if we kill our brother and cover up his blood? Come on got a better idea Let's sell him to the ishma lights and not lay a hand on him for he is our brother our own flesh and his brothers agreed You know what these are some interesting brothers.
Hey chaguts want to kill you don't kill him. Let's throw him in the pit Let's not throw him in the pit. Let's sell him in the slavery. He's our brother our flesh and blood blood Hey Could you imagine being joseph in this situation Your family hates you and wants to take your life and came up with a better idea to sell you into slavery Wow, if anybody was going to have a victim mentality, I would think that this right here is approved But not so fast.
Let's see what happens verse 28 when media night traders passed by his brothers pulled joseph out of the pit and sold him for 20 pieces of silver To the ishma lights who took joseph to egypt This is something I want you to think This is where it's deep to me This situation that came to destroy him Sent him to the place Where his dream occurred It was like the thing that was intended to destroy him was actually the vehicle to get him to where god wanted him to be I'm not saying that it's ideal. I'm not saying it like I process it as well But things aren't easy in life. All right, let's see all right. Let's grow down Um, where do we want to go?
Let's see Meanwhile the media nights verse 36 so joseph in egypt to potterford an officer of pharaoh in the captain of the guards So even in that scenario, he got sold again I mean, man, could you imagine being joseph? I just got a dream that guy gave me this dream and i'm sharing it with y'all And y'all don't like it because y'all think i'm trying to elevate myself above y'all But really i'm just trying to walk in where god gave me and caught me too To this point joseph hasn't really done anything wrong that I could see and yet he finds himself Being thrown into a pit pulled out of a pit sewed into slavery just to be soed again Man, you talk about the mindset mean you I think if if we were at a restaurant and choosing a mindset most of us might have chosen victim by now, right? It may be just a five-e-slope. So I can talk just if that is yourself All right, let's do this Let's actually go to genesis chapter 50 because what I want to do is we talked about joseph and This idea of what made him a literal victim Although he never became a victim in his mind, right where at least never landed at that as the conclusive place where he was But now I want to talk about well, why did in joseph choose the victim mentality Why did he choose to be an overcomer and more importantly what were the results of him being an overcomer because I get it if you like hey, man Joseph chose the overcomer mindset and it didn't work out in the end guy had no purpose and you might be looking like, well I'm not choosing to be no overcomer in these circumstances.
I'm gonna get this example going back to slavery Oftentimes you talk to somebody in 2026 today some young, you know, 25-year-old person They'll be like, ain't no way. I was gonna be no ain't no like what Do you understand the circumstances they were in We can't even handle being canceled off of youtube these days if someone takes access to our social media pages We lose our minds and yet you're gonna tell me that not me. I wouldn't have been no slave Okay, let's think about this you have no education. You can't read and write so Okay, this is challenging because You don't have an education which might mean that strategically you are not necessarily The smartest person in the bunch to be coming up with all this The only reason you even talking like you talking now is because you grew up free in a free country with an education So you're speaking from the perspective of freedom about a bondage that you never know All right, let me let me keep going for somebody to get mad I'm about to go to Genesis chapter 50.

Uh, what do I want to look at 50 verse 18? So I'm kind of We kind of at the end of it now we've gone past a lot of things and Joseph stories So you really got to read this for yourself. Um at this point something interesting is interesting is happening Um Because at this point The brothers let's just look at this Um So they sent this is chapter 50 verse 16. So they sent this message to joseph.
This is after their father dad Before he died your father gave a command say this to joseph, please forgive your brothers transgresians and ercians transgresians The saphronae calls you therefore please forgive the transgression of the servants of the of the god of your father jose and then joseph Wept when their message came to him. So ultimately now Joseph is in a elevated leadership position in the kingdom. Okay, and his brothers have now found him out now look at verse 18 His brothers also came to him bow down before him and said we are your slaves But joseph said to them don't be afraid. Am I in the place of god?
I want to pause there real quick. I want to pause there real real real real quick Because what's interesting is when it was all said and done the dream that they hated him for They did eventually actually come and bow before him That's very crazy when you think about it We sold you here in a slavery because you had this dream where we were bowing to you yet at the end of it you found yourself Elevated in the kingdom in which you were sold the second time And ultimately we came and bow to you anyway, but here's what I really like and we're talking about the overcome or mindset See most of us right maybe me as well. Um, if someone who had done you wrong comes back and bows down to you You might be glory in that your pride might be like, yeah, look now who the big dog now Who y'all selling me in? Okay That ain't god That's not the mindset that god wants us to have as too many times as believers now We're taking on the mindset of the world versus the mindset of the believer the mindset of the word of god What I love about joseph is when they bow to him his response was not I told you so his response was not look at me now His response was am I in the place of god?
Joseph had a level of humility that's very challenging to have In this my in this situation in the mindset mean you he selected and chose to have a mindset Above his circumstances faced with the people who wanted to kill him and sold him into slavery He said I am not god Let's go back to what joseph did after this and we're gonna wrap this up But something very important happens as we think about the mindset we should have Verse 19, but joseph said to them don't be afraid am I in a place of god? He said this you planned evil against me. Oh God planned it for good to bring the present result the survival of many people Therefore don't be afraid. I will take care of you and your children and he comforted them and spoke kindly to them Wait, wait a minute.
That is heavy. That's very heavy because joseph is saying in verse 20 Yeah, you you plan evil against me, but god planned it for good to bring us right here See the overcome or mindset Is a perspective to know that all things work together For the good of those who love the lord and are called according to his purpose joseph knew that he was called to the purpose of god and that he loved god and so he had a perspective to understand that Everything that happened what got even though y'all meant it for bad. We all say that like what the devil meant for bad God yeah, that's easy to say until the bad is in your doorstep But joseph had this perspective and this ability to choose a mindset that understood That god had a purpose to bring me here for the survival of many people Because joseph thing was the dream was all about what to do in the time of famine There was seven years of famine and then there was seven there was seven good years then seven years of famine and what joseph did is he saved A fifth of the crops 20 percent of the crops during the bad years and then when the famine came he had a storehouse I use this to think about finances as well This is something that I've adopted from a finance standpoint that this idea of in the good times Save 20 percent so that when you're met with bad times or challenging for times you have a storehouse and because joseph had God had given joseph this dream in his plan when he presented it to feyro feyro was like well who better to lead the plan than you so the dream that guy had gave Him regarding feyro right because god kept giving him these dreams Then this dream put him in the job he was in and because he was in that job And he had executed that plan and had those that wheat and those resources Food stored up people were able to survive. So that's why he says like god planned it for good to bring the present result The survival of many people in his last part is so crazy.
Therefore don't be afraid I will take care of you and your children and he comforted them and spoke kindly to them Now this is crazy the people who tried to kill you or thought about killing you Then sold you into slavery and put you through some of the challenges biggest challenges of your life to have the ability to look at those people in their eyes and say Yes, you tried to use it for evil But god used it for good And i'm actually going to take care of you and your children and then he had the ability to speak kindly to them Now that may be hard for a lot of us including me maybe to think about and to ask ourselves Do I have the ability am I walking with the mindset of a joseph Um to have the perspective that even in areas of my life where I could claim to be a victim That I choose to be an overcomer because I understand that god used it to get me to where I am today And on top of that Even if there are situations or circumstances where justify be just a fly I could talk people justify be so that I could claim to be a victim or people have done me wrong That I could look at those people and say no Yeah, you tried to you use it for bad, but god had a bigger plan and i'm still going to be kind to you That is a mindset that we all can choose in our lives I'm gonna say this to you before I get out of here We all have a choice now And I know that there's so many people in the world today you wake up in the news All the political pundits they want you to be so much in an uproar They want life They just want you to feel like it's over and all these things and i'm not here to get engaged in politics That's not something I enjoy especially online because I don't think that we have the ability as a whole to critically think through things To be un uh to be unbiased and fair and balanced And so I just decided like bro, it's not something I want to talk about with people because I don't think people have the capacity Mostly to talk about it because it's been weaponized Some only purpose in bringing that up is to say, you know, when you wake up and you go online There's a mindset being pushed to you to adopt the mindset is the vision the mindset is anger The mindset is vengeance the mindset is you are god Notice what with with joseph the first thing when his brothers bow to him and you know say we're your slaves He said am I in the place of god for me That's something for me to hold on to and think about am I in the place of god So many times we want to play god. We want vengeance. We want to get people back We want to go out and show them we want anger. We want division So many people want that that is not the mindset of a believer I hate to break it to you whether you are a democrat republic and white black asian-indian It doesn't matter To adopt these mindsets is to adopt the ideology of the devil Because when I look in the wording of god, I'm sorry.
I just don't see it I do not see I see overcomers More than a conqueror We overcome by the blood of the lamb and a word of our testimony like I just don't when when when joe was going through and his wife went in the curse god. He wouldn't do it There's just countless examples in the word of god in the most horrendous situations where the believers Continue to have the option to choose the mindset of the overcomer But y'all want to convince me otherwise and I can't rock with it I just don't see it in the word of god where I'm to wake up and in my anger and in my emotion every day Just basically become a Tasmanian devil and tear up everything in my path And why like why why do we think that's the way because let's be honest some of us have given up on prayer We're saying prayer doesn't work. We're we think we got to take action because god ain't doing it Very dangerous path to find yourself on a path where you have replaced god with you Instead to yourself the god you can't do this. Y'all don't understand.
I'm a victim is all I'm hearing I'm a victim Just some of us to think about I'm not judging nobody. I'm not saying I got it all figured out I'm sharing what I'm thinking through as I navigate this world that we live in this this world of a deeper division this world of a more A more layered division layered evil things on the surface that seem godly I'm even people on the surface that present themselves as godly But their entire message is anti-bible their message aligns more with their politics than it does with the gospel of Jesus Christ I don't care what side of politics you're on I think that is troublesome for a believer to lead with that and to put the gospel in the backseat listen The gospel don't ride backseat the gospel always rides shotgun It don't matter how you slice it how you dice it what we talking about what the situation is Joseph did not choose to be a victim He chose to be an overcomer. He chose to see what god was doing the good that god was doing in his life My challenge to myself and to you is see the good See look for the good What is god doing in this situation? What am I missing?
Because I want to be a victim so bad why because the victims get all the likes the victim videos go viral Likes ain't gonna get us into the kingdom likes ain't gonna have us walking in our purpose of views and viral moments Ain't gonna get you aligned with the will of god I were the three people see this video and god be glorified and I walk in his purpose Then to blow up and be the most famous person and all these things and ultimately You know Missed the mark for the body of Christ.
