The Ministry of Parenting

Say HiDuring Jesus’ earthly ministry, He had interaction with children. He treated the children with love and kindness and blessed them too. The most popular account of Jesus’ interaction with children is found in Mark 10, Luke 18 and Matthew 19. There, people brought little children to Jesus for Him to place His hands on them, but His disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw what was happening, Jesus was very angry with His disciples and He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” He then took them into His arms and placed His hands on them and blessed them.On some occasions, Jesus often presented children before His listening audience as an example of the type of faith adults are to have to enter into heaven. Jesus wants each of us to possess a childlike faith; that is, a pure, unassuming and humble faith is void of pretention or hypocrisy.Let us value our children as Jesus did.
