The Miracle Mum | Laura & Ash Morgan - 515

Laura & Ash Morgan are a couple of new mums who welcomed their first baby boy, Charlie into the world 6 months ago. Being a same sex couple from a small rural town and going through the IVF process was eventful, but compared to many all in all a smooth-sailing affair... Until it came to giving birth.  Laura developed an Amniotic Fluid Embolism, a condition that the small rural hospital she gave birth in was ill-equipped to deal with.  MICA Flight paramedics were flown in and themselves battled to keep her alive, she suffered 2 cardiac arrests and would have had a surgeon perform a hysterectomy had there been one the hospital which fortunately (in this case) there was not.
