Here's what you can expect from the podcast in our second season. I would suggest for these preseason games, I think they should do what they do on the NFL draft, you know, when coverage in the NFL draft is basically for moms. Every single, you know, election season, every two years, every four years, we get the same rush of phony polls. And then all of a sudden we start getting closer to election day and all of these polling companies, and by the way, this is all happening during the period of time when early voting has started in a lot of states, then they start tightening and they start tightening because I don't think the polls that you've been reading are real anyway. The polling this year in particular has been absolutely positively atrocious as we have pointed out. I mean, even with Abdul El-Sayed, he's supposed to win by 20 points.
He barely made a point. Francesca Hong, they were polls anywhere from 20 to 30 points ahead for her. She lost by 3,000 votes. And now what is fascinating, but it is a phenomenon.
And that is, and I read this today, how, and it was not just one article, it was multiple articles, how the media is not so sure anymore that Democrats are going to win the midterms, the Washington Examiner, increasingly insulated Democrats struggle in debates. I mean, we saw Mike Rogers clobber Abdul El-Sayed. We watched Darlene Graham just destroy Annie Andrews in her debate because the media won't do their job. They won't ask the tough questions, but these candidates go into a debate, you know, prepared to take on that, which is being prevented from being told to the public.
He has a brand new book out. It's called The Honoring of Ignorance, the Seven Marages Destroying America. It is a fact-filled examination about how the legacy media mob, abuse of leap-by is then corrupt, how pollsters, how academia have built a machine that turns truth into fiction and does unfairly shape the opinions of many of the American people. Anyway, Matt, sir, I was honored to blurb this book.
Welcome to the program. I know you've been writing this now for a while. This is everything a culmination of many years, decades of work in your life. And you know, you've chapped your introduction.
I see things and sometimes I don't. We aren't stupid, but we may be all be a bit ignorant. Tell me why you wanted to time this three weeks outside of this election. Well, because, and thank you, John, for blurb on the book.
Thank you for talking about it. I wrote The Honoring of Ignorance. I really started this 40 years ago, believe it or not, when I was over in school in England. And they first started these infomercial infotainment programming.
And the book I picked up by a literary agent, Ann Elmo, who's very known, well known back then. And the publishing houses all loved it, but they said I was too young to write it. Maybe now I'm too old to write it. And it certainly has changed.
But what happens every cycle, and it's one so passionate about this book, is that the media works either by refusing to air or report certain things or by twisting things in the wrong direction to create a mirage. They create a mirage about, for example, the war in Iran. They create a mirage about the economy. They create a mirage about Trump.
These are racist, as xenophobe, that he was an election denider. He didn't have a right to question things. And they do it to the extent that they so permeate the news world. They then turn to pollsters who are generally inaccurate, but highly praised by these groups that they rely on, like Nate Silver, for example, it used to be 538, the rate all of us pollsters.
And the pollsters, they're absolutely right. Everyone hates Trump. Nobody's going to vote for the Republicans. They're going to lose in this election cycle.
It happens over and over again. So I just decided to dissect the entire thing. To start with basically what they, the media, and what we don't know, that we're not a democracy, we're actually a democratic republic. We were never meant to be a democracy.
In fact, that so much of what we see in the federal government now did not exist even 40-50 years ago, and then transition into describing this, what I call this machine, the mirage machine, that creates these stories, and then relies on these pollsters that they rely on who come back and say, oh, yeah, that's right. And as a result, we're going to take Trump's approval rating from, let's say, 55 to 45 to 35. Now they've got him in the low 30s. Now Donald Trump's approval rating is not in the low 30s.
It's absolutely ridiculous. But that is what this mob has tried to do. And I tell everybody, by the honouring of ignorance for yourself, but give it to some liberal and let them read how i've gone through every single fact on every one of these best of these people created in the media how they do it how they manufacture the polls how they reinforce it how they use back checkers that always say the facts or right when it's a legacy media or liberal or democrat but always is wrong when it's conservative or republican and then how that influences the public occasionally the public can see through it like they did in twenty four i think they may be seen through it this year as well but it's it you know car called over to peace in the wall street journal in that piece uh... he cited somebody that studied the polling uh...
over the last number of election cycles over three thousand polls and how they underestimate republican vote by by as many as seven points annually and do so regularly you know what the one guy that they've had the hardest time polling with the exception of you rober kehaly john mclaughlin raspous into a certain extent is is they've all the major media polls that we often hear so much about have been so wrong and almost incapable of accurately polling donald trump why is that well i think because they insist on using old-fashioned systems were where you have somebody actually called and they started changing their systems you can call household and as a one of the government on trump because they're afraid they say yes that you know how to tell a number of the arrest so people will come forward and they're going to vote republican or about trump we have a different way of sampling that therefore we don't run into that problem but the other thing they do is they be these pollsters are often times they won't they won't apologize for voters who are all adults which is not a bit of always works out the democrats they won't pull likely voters they'll pull samples that have many more democrats and republicans and never really wait it or change it to reflect otherwise they won't wait it to trump's performance in the past uh... because that's one of the things you have to do you have to go back to what we call the recall in order to wait a poll and then i would use it here's the other thing they do shan so you mentioned for travel in saturday and a few others these polling experts like nate silver they give us great okay and they give us rankings and i'll give you an example how far off the last i checked nate silver got one election right now was barak obama and that was not a hard race to call to be honest well i i yeah that's what they call the boy jane is always not he's not that and in fact every single time they end up predicting democrats can win admittedly sometimes by small amount admittedly about a lot but it's always the democrats and we went and so but but but by rating us they take the most accurate pollsters by myself and they've been this b's and c's and d's and the list is behind polling from she never heard of like mowin bork college is rated among the top i need silver now it's a college in pennsylvania church a good school they poll only one thing pennsylvania yesterday said it was going to win the last election here but yet they're right way up there not for free robber trite for uh... khalia trifelter's rated it like one fifty so this is they do this on purpose because they want to keep the networks and newspapers from carrying our more realistic polls it is a way of showing us out and this book is not just about poll is about how every single issue date with they hide and they get some of the confirmable poll and they get the fact checkers to say that you that they're right and it is an endless effort to try to brainwash people in america and i bet i think we talk a lot of time shown i've always been stumped while the republicans and service don't run ads during the year just showing the public the real news most people don't know today that inflation is one half of what it was under july's their turn election and they didn't make a big deal about inflation back then they don't tell anybody that the unemployment record in this country right it's the lowest unemployment we've had since the nineteen sixties they don't talk about the fact that you're for one case of high-stakes ever been they focus on one thing the gas pump and as prices are about where they were which i'll buy back in his administration but he didn't have the situation of a rent threatening to to create nuclear weapons that potentially they would like to explode in the united states their own people said that now none of this is an explain to the public so they have to go to the polls and i think what's your show and some other shows on fox where they read a certain newspaper they have to go to the polls trying to use a flashlight to try to find the truth in order to decide how to vote in the america people are done they've been able to overlook this stuff but it's becoming even they are putting the gas pedal on this night they're trying to convince everyone that this races over the democrats a big democratic wave let me tell you something i discovered shown in our poll i discovered this in the last few weeks we started asking people how enthusiastic they are about voting now if you watch tv on all the other networks and you read these two new york times and other pieces wouldn't you think there's gonna be just a rush of young people who support socialism and want change and cannot stand trump and they're going to overwhelm the poll is in that sort of the theory they've been suggesting uh... they've been they've been throwing a down our throat now for months and months on end okay well guess who's least enthusiastic about the the younger people so it absolutely guess who's the most enthusiastic the seniors people sixty five and over you know why because they know what socialism is they know how socialism uh...
rose in our lifetime and how it fell apart but you have a lot of people in the book i also talk about the universe is the way they bring watch the kids and the kids get out they become parents and to fit in with it with the schools that the kids go to which is just as liberal they have to talk liberal and think liberal but they don't know much about anything they have no clue about the soviet union it's quite very little knowledge of cuba very little knowledge about the collapse of the economy is a new year and if you don't know anything it doesn't mean you're stupid but you're a great but if you don't know the facts so what i wanted to do is to get everybody listens to your show and everybody who i talk to you can serve the circles some weapons to show people hate we're not wrong these are facts these are not not not this is not my opinion most of this is nothing but that's not researched and i would say they're almost irreducable and they did it flows easily but they would take this to the end shown in the end i conclude that all probability of something doesn't change in this country we may be forced to see states form compact the red states and the blue states uh... where lost they'll both all about that keep this country simply for the common defense and for interstate transportation and currency basically taking the country back to what was originally meant to be we created federal government and i don't say that the anti-american but i want to keep the country as it is but we are being so tortured by these people in the media and they are making it so difficult for anyone to hear the truth that i think we're going to reach a point which i think i took a poll in new york most new yorkers want to leave the rest of the country rather hang out with just blue states and no red states and i can't imagine what the red states are thinking i mean we're fine i'm fine with never going back to new york i'm okay with that and that will not have a new york if they want to have a new york and they want to put up with the taxes and having people run the streets who who are committed crimes but but i mean we're seeing this matter called mass migration out of these deep blue states and blue cities and for all the reasons we keep discussing and you know what one of the things that i i as far as i'm concerned every election is up for graphs and until those votes are counted until i hear the words fox news can project and then we have a winner and a loser i'm assuming that we're in it and i'm telling this audience to ignore these polls that have been so atrociously wrong for over a decade uh... don't trust them don't let them impact your thinking and just go out and do your part because there's a lot of stake here uh... anyway matt how are you with us is going to stay with us it's called the honoring of ignorance the seven rajas destroying america uh...

you support universal child care yes free school meals yes guaranteed pay leave yes abolishing ice yes a one-year data center moratorium yes breaking up a big ag yes uh public grocery stores yes right to repair yes legalizing cannabis yes overturning citizens united yes a workers bill of rights yes a free Palestine yes we just don't see the point of the senate um historically it was meant to serve very wealthy people who owned a lot of land we think the basic necessities of life should be run as public goods and offer private profits we don't think that anyone should have a constitutional right to double digit returns on their investment that's why we've implemented no one would have a right to a double digit return on their investment no one has a right there are also other issues that we firmly believe that whether it's BDS right or whether it's the end goal of our role ultimately is to facilitate our own empire's failure in ways that we can ultimately to overthrow our own empire were calling 2022 even the new york times of the washington post they had the generic ballots showing that the republicans were going to win with a red wave and then it disappeared so for once they were wrong in the right direction at least but let's go back to 22 do you know that just in late october of 22 cnn said oh the Biden and trump races over trump is losing 54 to 42 i mean that was nowhere near what the spread was see it then had a poll we showed by with a 57 percent nation why trump was at 41 i'm surprised donald trump didn't get trumps in every state in the union with that time nonsense out there and if people will recall 2020 was an extremely close election most of the states trump lost he lost by just a point a point and a half or less so we're back in this the same mode where they're trying to convince us that the republicans don't have a prayer and the republicans aren't going to make it and they're even heard nonsense like donald trump is going to try to make sure the election isn't fair what is he going to do about making the election unfair to make people show their id which 80 percent of american support this is the sort of nonsense that we have to listen to every single day and if it weren't for you and some of your colleagues on on on fox news and a few other outlets to try they aren't they don't have the reach the fox does and a few newspapers and online groups like right bar for example that no one would know any of this and so we got a leapfrog over this in the future this is get we got to go beyond where we are and educate As we continue final moments with Matt tarry let me ask you this you've been polling you have been studying this race with three weeks away from election day uh how do you see this unfolding i'll be honest i have no idea what's gonna happen three weeks from today this is the most unpredictable election cycle i've ever seen now historical trends are what they are the party in power would usually lose seats in the house and senate in mid-term however there's never been a party as radicalized as this dsa democratic socialist communist party well you know i don't want to predict it three weeks out either but i'll tell you how i see it at the moment i see states like texas and michigan where everyone's in love with how rico and elsai yet oh my they're the greatest thing in the world you know if we got smart campaigns being run elsai yet that is we can about his own michigan football team that they can't win without cheating you don't think i have an ad up right now running into every home in michigan with that you know how serious people take football in michigan and then tarry co disappears for weeks and we don't know where he was some studies in a mental hospital that the place says he wasn't but i know one thing a candidate doesn't disappear with a flu for two weeks he gets on zoom he drinks you know some hot tea look i've had the flu plenty of times in my life i'd usually try to work through it yeah and i've known when you've worked through it and and the idea and i've been a candidate look i was a candidate for statewide office i would have never let something like that keep me down yeah the media and it's a part of this book the legacy media will not ask him a damn question about this and if anybody brings it up they say oh we're being a ten-boiled conspiratorial type person they always want to call republicans and serve as that we question anything at all that's the honoring of ignorance the fact that they won't go out there and find out what's wrong with this young man i think texas and i think texas could go republican i think michigan could go republican i think there's some chakras days like minnesota where we've got just a one-point difference because of all the cheating and the light it took place up there and by the way the reason people go about it up in the other minnesota is because the local news media has taken the gloves off and they started reporting they were embarrassed they took a young man to go up there uh...
