The Moors Murders
from Deathcast Hosted by Big Pond Podcasts
This week on The Deathcast, we continue our ride through the blood drenched English countryside as we look into the life and crimes of Ian Brady and Myra Hindley. Perhaps no other names call up images of torture, rape, and murder in the collective mind of British citizens as readily as these two do. Their crimes shocked the nation and then the world, as the duo went on to claim the lives of at least five innocent children, burying four of them in the moors near Manchester before being caught on October 7, 1965. 56 years have passed since the police swooped down on their small home, but questions remain: How did the daughter of blue collar parents end up ensnared in the games of a Nazi obsessed small time criminal from Ireland? What led her to follow him as he descended into a world of madness, torture, and amateur pornography? Are there other victims? All of this and more will be explored this week on The Deathcast.
