Right now, more than ever, we need to find what connects us, what we have in common, rather than what our differences are. That's really hard to do when we make judgmental assumptions about the people we encounter. It’s a difficult task as humans are wired to be judgey. But it’s possible.
What if we start by looking for the good in everyone we meet (in person and online) and respecting their journey. What if we say something kind to everyone today- even something as simple as a compliment about their appearance. What if we just started accepting people as they are.
What if we started treating others as we want to be treated? Remember, we rise by lifting others. We should be lifting each other up and cheering each other on, not trying to outshine one another.
