A 23-year-old Eastern Michigan University student with dreams of becoming a broadcast journalist was found dead in her bathtub on December 11, 2012. Julia Niswender had been missing for two days when police broke into her locked apartment, discovering her nude body partially submerged in water and her clothes cut off . She had been asphyxiated and drowned, with bloody latex gloves found near her body and seminal fluid present at the scene . Her stepfather was named a person of interest but was never charged . Her family now fights for answers as the case grows cold .
