SERMON DESCRIPTION This Sunday, in honor of MLK weekend, we will be highlighting stories from members of our Bridging Team. The Bridging Team is a task force focused on helping All Souls live out its vision of being an interculturally competent community. Martin Luther King, Jr. wrote, “Power without love is reckless and abusive, and love without power is sentimental and anemic. Power at its best is love implementing the demands of justice, and justice at its best is power correcting everything that stands against love.” What is within your power to change around the way you interact with cultural or racial difference? How can you use your power to correct what stands against love? Join us as we celebrate and reflect on how far we have come and where we might continue to work to manifest King’s dream right here in Oklahoma. This Monday celebrates the 27th year of Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. Join us Monday at the Tulsa MLK parade as we walk to commemorate this historic day and celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision of a just and unified America.
