The Moth That Swallowed the Moon

Summer 1987. The night the moon vanished over Winesap County, I was seventeen and waiting for my father to come home from the Worthington grain elevator. He never did. But the moths came—first a few, then a suffocating curtain of them, blotting out the porch light, the stars, everything. And at the center of that living darkness, I saw a girl I used to know, wearing a dress made of wings. She spoke to me in a voice that sounded like paper tearing. This is a story about a crossroads, a promise I made when I was nine, and the price of forgetting. It happened on Old Creek Road, where the gravel turns to dirt and the dirt turns to something else. It happened in the hour when the moon should have been full. I still dream about the sound she made when she smiled. #Mothlight #FexingoHorror #HorrorPodcast #AnthologyHorror #MothSwallowedTheMoon #WinesapCounty #OldCreekRoad #WorthingtonGrainElevator #PorchLight #Summer1987 #MissingFather #CrossroadsPromise #PaperVoice #WingDress #RuralHorror #MidwestGothic #NoMoon #NineYearOldPromise Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
