Emily Swann (@theloveofbreastfeeding) shares her experience from being a labor and delivery nurse to becoming an internationally board certified lactation consultant and a mother of two. She discusses her first birth and how she did not feel safe with her midwife, which lead to a homebirth transfer to the hospital and a multitude of lessons! Emily emphasizes the power of suggestion in birth, the influence of who is in the room during birth, and the challenges of breastfeeding her first baby which helped her fully step into her Mother role powerfully to find her voice and intuition. She has learned that deep attunement and connection between mother and baby is everything.
