What this episode covers
This 1st EP of Season 6 of the Motions Podcast is not just a collection of tracks but an exploration of musical heritage and innovation that invites listeners to lose themselves in its rhythm and flow. DJ Kel All Day takes you diving into a sonic journey that transcends genres and eras with this eclectic mix, where each track tells its own story while contributing to a larger narrative of rhythm and soul. Starting with Ashra’s “Oasis,” prepare to be enveloped in lush soundscapes that set the stage for an auditory adventure. The smooth grooves of The Miracles’ “Do It Baby” invite you to reminisce about love and connection, seamlessly blending into the vibrant energy of Brass Construction’s “Now Is Tomorrow,” which calls for celebration and unity. As we transition through time, the infectious beats of Kay Gees’ “Tango Hustle” will have you moving, embodying the spirit of dance that defines this mix. The inclusion of the legendary Frankie Knuckles adds his signature touch, reminding us of House music’s roots. At the same time, Supernova’s remix of “The Whistle Song” a Director’s Cut brings a contemporary twist, showcasing how classic House music sounds can be reimagined for today’s audience. In a unique collaboration, Han Litz takes us deeper into the groove before Kid Sublime’s “Face The Flute (edit)” introduces an enchanting blend of flute melodies that captivate the listener’s imagination. Finally, we culminate with Ruben Vidal Ft Kwi with Freedom followed by Peacey’s Culture Bandit (feat. Vanessa Hidary) (Yoruba Soul Mix),” which beautifully encapsulates themes of peace and cultural richness. Enjoy!
