The Formula 1 circus rolled into Montreal for the latest round of the 2025 season at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. Over the last 2 weeks, Max Verstappen has dominated the headlines with the very real threat of a race ban looming having now racked up 11 penalty points on his race license. There was also the wait to see whether Lance Stroll would recover in time for his home race, and then the subsequent suspension of Derek Warwick from the stewarding just on the eve of the Grand Prix itself... This event is usually known for unpredictable weather, however the only storms threatening this weekends running were of the metaphorical type. We discuss the fallout from the McLaren's colliding, whether George Russell's victory was in doubt following Red Bull Racing's protest, and just what was happening with the FIA this weekend?
