The Motorsport REView - 2025 Qatar Sprint Review

from The Motorsport REView · host Perry Brown

After the double disqualification for McLaren in Las Vegas, the Drivers Championship has never been closer - Lando Norris holds a 24 point lead over both Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri. The penultimate round of the 2025 F1 season is already upon us, and and sprint weekend in Qatar is the only event left ahead of that season finale in Abu Dhabi. Could either Verstappen or Piastri stop Norris from clinching the Championship this weekend? The first hurdle was the Sprint race itself, 19 laps of the Losail circuit under the lights. Whilst all of the talk heading into the weekend seemed to be about Verstappen closing in on a possible 5th World Drivers Championship, it was Piastri who claimed Sprint pole ahead of George Russell. Would he be able to convert pole to a win and keep the pressure on Norris? What could Verstappen do from 6th position? Perry discusses all of the points from the Sprint half of the weekend, so get yourself ready and all set for the Qatar Grand Prix itself by giving our Sprint review a listen! If you enjoy what we do then please let us know - all of our social media links are below.
