With no signs of forced entry, and inconsistent statements from Sandra, suspicion quickly turned into a murder charge. Despite the lack of physical evidence—no blood on Sandra, no DNA, and unidentified profiles found in the home—a jury convicted her of murder in 2017. She was sentenced to 27 years in prison.
