The person charged with the two murders, was James's cousin, Ivan Cantu. Ivan is scheduled for execution on April 26th, 2023, just a month away. Evidence and testimony were overwhelming in the eyes of law enforcement and the Court. Ivan has always maintained his innocence and says he was set up by people that wanted to steal money and drugs from James, and murder him.
