“Oh sh_t!” Those were the last two words college student Brandon Swanson uttered to his father over their intense cellphone conversation in the wee hours of May 14, 2008. He was calling them, looking for some help after help after his  Chevy Lumina, had veered off into a ditch in the town of Canby… which was just about a 30-minute straight shot from his home in Marshall, Minnesota.
