You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. INSPIRATION: Jesus would say, "‭‭You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you" (Matt. 5:43-44). When you understand that enemies are key instruments in God's hands to bring you into the fullness of His purposes, your prayers for them would change! Knowing that God can use the enemy's evil plans for your own good, you should not fret when they go to work! An enemy can pursue you to discover your purpose; they can 'frustrate' you into a life-changing discovery! They sold Joseph, and put him in prison, yet, he lived his dream! Their actions became the catalyst in the actualisation of his dreams. God would put His hands upon Syrus, an evil king, because of His elect's sake (Isa. 45: 4). Isaiah goes further to tell us, "‭‭I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways; He shall build My city and let My exiles go free, not for price nor reward, (Isa. 45: 13). God is up to something great in your life this year, using the enemies! TODAY'S TAKE HOME: The enemy's evil plans are God's raw material to further His agenda for your life! Know this and know peace! PRAYER: Dear Lord, please help me to understand the mystery of You using the enemy's schemes to birth your purposes for my life, and give me the grace to trust you through the process, in Jesus name.
