The "Myth" of Personal Enlightenment

There is no such thing as personal enlightenment. A seeker on the spiritual path seeks awakening or enlightenment in the hope of achieving unending bliss or some permanent state. However, no state is permanent, and "enlightenment" is just a concept of the ego to strengthen itself. Spiritual awakening is the Realization that behind appearances is the same consciousness that runs through all. That is all there is to it. There is no such thing as an awakened or enlightened person. The person, even after awakening, continues to live life as before.
