Awakened to Deliver – Season 2 – The Names / Titles of the Holy Spirit Week 25 – The Spirit of Grace and Holiness Day 1 - Grace That Calls Us to Holiness Key Verse: Titus 2:11–12 (WEBUS) “For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we would live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age.” ⸻ Episode Highlights • Grace and holiness are not opposites—God’s grace produces holiness. • The Holy Spirit is both the Spirit of Grace and the Spirit of Holiness. • Biblical grace is not permission to remain in sin; it teaches us to deny ungodliness. • Grace is opposed to earning, not to obedience. • We are not saved by good works, but we are saved for good works. • God’s holiness is not lowered by grace; grace brings us into right relationship with a holy God through Jesus Christ. • Jesus perfectly reveals both grace and truth. • The same Spirit who forgives believers also transforms them. • Holiness begins with God’s character and is produced in us through the work of the Holy Spirit. • God’s grace lovingly lifts us toward holy living through the finished work of Christ. ⸻ Scriptures to Reflect On • Titus 2:11–12 – Grace teaches us to live godly lives. • Hebrews 10:29 – The Holy Spirit is called the Spirit of Grace. • Romans 1:4 – The Holy Spirit is called the Spirit of Holiness. • Ephesians 2:8–10 – We are saved by grace and created for good works. • 1 Peter 1:15–16 – God calls His people to be holy because He is holy. • Isaiah 6:3 – God is holy, holy, holy. • John 1:14 – Jesus is full of grace and truth. ⸻ Takeaway Thought God’s grace does not lower His standard of holiness.
