The Nazi Bell

from Strange Things with Chris James · host Chris James

Hans Kammler was born on August 26, 1901. He died on…well, we don’t really know when he died or if he died at all. Kammler was a German civil engineer and SS commander during the Nazi era. He oversaw SS construction projects such as just about every death camp the Nazis built. Sometime around 1945, Kammler was put in charge of a research and development complex hidden away near the Check Republic. The complex was named the Riese, German for giant. It was the code name for a construction project started by the Nazis in 1943. What was being built in the mountains? Why was the security there at a level higher than around Berlin? Here is what I could find about this top secret German project.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/strange-things-with-chris-james--4931876/support.
