The Nearlies- Sportspeople Who Just Fell Short

Paul and Glenn are back for another action packed, fun episode. This week we will look back at some of the Nearlies, ie, sportspeople who have gone very close to winning a big sporting event, however have just ended up short and never claimed the prize. An aussie middle distance runner who lit the olympic flame at the melbourne olympics, broke numerous world records however fell just short in the search for olympic gold. An aussie sporting legend and tennis great who excelled over three decades in the amateur, professional and open eras and just fell short of a wimbledon title.
